MSI X570 Godlike: Check Price On Amazon
Best High-End Motherboard For Ryzen 9 3900X
The first motherboard on our list is from MSI; the company has been pretty famous when it comes to bringing out some pretty high end stuff, and the best part is that they are ready to bring even more of the amazing motherboards out.
While their budget friendly options are really great, the best thing about the company is their higher end options.
We are talking about the MSI X570 Godlike; perhaps the most feature packed X570 motherboard you will get the chance to see in the market, and for all the right reasons, as well. This motherboard is the top-tier motherboard that MSI is offering but how does it hold on? Let’s find out.
For starters, the X570 Godlike comes with a solid build quality; MSI has used a server grade PCB to make the most of the situation, and on top of that, there is proper armor shielding on top of the motherboard to provide it extra power.
I never thought I would say it but this is one of the heaviest motherboards I have tested out.
It also offers a 14 + 4 + 1 power phase design which only ensures that you can overclock with ease.
You have massive heatsinks covering every possible point that emits heat and there are enough features to keep you entertained because MSI has decided to leave no stones unturned and only choose the best components.
You also get all the necessary features such as the PCI-E 4.0, M.2 mounts, as well as proper audio solution and networking solution on the motherboard. Needless to say, if you do have the money for it, this motherboard is the ultimate solution for all the needs you might feel.
As far as the downsides are concerned, I do not really think there are any. I mean, sure, the motherboard is expensive, but with every single feature and addition you are getting with this motherboard, it is well worth the price, and that is pretty evident.
Overall, the MSI X570 Godlike is definitely a motherboard that should be used with the Ryzen 9 3900X. For the simplest reason that both of these complement each other in a really amazing way, and on top of it all, the performance is rock solid through and through.
- More features than you can count.
- Insane power phase design.
- Great for overclocking.
- Looks amazing.
ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR VIII FORMULA: Check Price On Amazon
Asus has never been the one to back down from a challenge.
This is evident from the fact that the company has been releasing some of the best, most insane motherboards under their Republic of Gamers brand for years now, and the best part is that these motherboards are only getting better as the time goes by.
Today, we welcome the ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR VIII FORMULA; one of the recent motherboards that they have released; sporting the X570 chipset, and a lot of features.
However, will it be able to make a name for itself in the market that will soon be saturated? That is what we are going to find out.
For starters, the motherboard does tick an awful lot of boxes. Asus has always been pretty serious about overclocking, and this has not changed here, either. The entire VRM has an integrated water block on top courtesy of EKWB. Sure, you do not have to use it, but if you are willing to go the extra mile, having this is actually great.
The motherboard has great power delivery which allows it to have rock solid stability both when idle and overclocked. There is a plethora of features such as an OLED display that displays all the necessary information as well as full RGB lighting that makes everything bling if you so wish to choose.
The cooling system is definitely on par with some of the best available in the market, and the best part is that you can easily overclock your Ryzen 9 3900X thanks to Asus rock solid overclocking tool and the industry leading UEFI bios.
Needless to say, Asus has made sure that consumers are getting their money’s worth, and there is no feature left behind.
As far as the downsides are concerned, there is nothing to begin with.
Granted, the bios can have some bugs at the moment but we have to let that slide because that is because the motherboard is still new, and nearly every other motherboard will display some degree of issues.
Overall, the ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR VIII FORMULA is definitely one of my favorite, and one of the best X570 motherboards available in the market. It delivers excellent performance, and on top of it all, it looks great while doing so.
- Loaded with features.
- The OLED screen looks fun.
- Great RGB lighting.
- Easy to use bios.
- Great for overclocking.
- The integrated VRM water block is great to have.
GIGABYTE AORUS X570 XTREME: Check Price On Amazon
Although fairly new in the market, the Aorus series was created in response to the ever increasing demand of having higher end components that are different and more powerful than what is usually available in the market.
We are reviewing the GIGABYTE AORUS X570 XTREME, one of the highest motherboard that Gigabyte is currently offering in the market.
First things first, Gigabyte has done an exceptional job at creating this motherboard; it looks stunning through and through.
However, that is not all; for the network enthusiasts, the motherboard comes with dual Ethernet, WiFi 6, as well as 2.5 GbE.
To top it all off, Gigabyte has done a great job at making sure that the three full sized PCI-E slots as well as all the M.2 slots are running simultaneously, a feature that would be great for those who are looking to utilize as many slots as possible. Gigabyte has also done a fantastic job at RGB implementation, because this motherboard looks great.
The motherboard even has proper shielding if you are looking for the aesthetics.
As far as the downsides are concerned, there is just one thing about this motherboard that did not please me. If you are using the third M.2 slot as well, the motherboard will only let you four SATA ports and no more than that.
However, such limitation is something that is not as practical for all of people, but for those who have a lot of storage devices, this is definitely something we have to mention.
Overall, the GIGABYTE AORUS X570 XTREME is definitely an extremely capable motherboard, and the best part about this motherboard is that it does look stunning and performs like a champion, too.
Granted, there is a minor grievance in terms of just how much storage you can have at the same time but other than that, there is nothing much to worry about.
- Stunning RGB implementation.
- You get dual Ethernet with one having 2.5 GbE.
- Wi-Fi 6 is a great addition to have.
- You can use all full sized PCI-E as well as M.2 slots at the same time.
- Populating all the M.2 slots will leave you with only 4 active SATA ports.

It did not take MSI long to realize that there is an untapped market full of content creators who are looking for great motherboards that can fit will within their requirements and give them a great experience.
That is why they started releasing motherboard under the “Creation” tag, these motherboards were mainly for the content creators. However, that does not mean that they are not good when it comes to performing other tasks.

ASRock X470 Taichi: Check Price On Amazon
Best X470 Motherboard For Ryzen 9 3900X
The last motherboard on our list is from ASRock, but that is not the surprising part. Instead of going with an X570 motherboard, we have decided to put an X470 here and for all the right reasons, too.
The whole concept of having backward compatibility is certainly a nice one, but that is not it, the best part about this motherboard is that despite its high-end features and overall value, it is available for a reduced price.
The ASRock X470 Taichi is one of my favorite motherboards not just because of how good it looks but for the solid performance it delivers as well.
For starters, if you are looking to build a PC on which you will be having a lot of storage drives, then going for the Taichi is a no brainer. The motherboard does give you a great list of storage options that make things so much better.
The overall specifications of the motherboard are pretty solid, and you can tell that ASRock is really dedicated to make sure that they performance of this motherboard remains consistent through and through.
Another great thing is that when you look at the overall performance of this motherboard in terms of factors such as applications, memory, as well as storage, you come to realize that all the consistencies are there.
Another great thing is that the motherboard overclocks really well, so if you are thinking about pushing your Ryzen 9 3900X to a decent performance, you can easily get that without any issues that might come in the way.
Last but not the least, considering how the X570 chipsets have already hit the shelves, if you are trying to save some money and still looking for decent performance, this is the way to go because it will surely cost you cheaper than it used to be.
If you are to talk about the downsides, I honestly can’t find any, to begin with. Granted, the motherboard will not have the features that the X570 chipset is bringing to the table, but that is fairly obvious and should not really bother you a lot if you are looking to save money.
Overall, the ASRock X470 Taichi is certainly of great proposition at this point thanks to the fact that it is available for cheaper.
- Great value for money at this point.
- Amazing overclocking potential.
- Great specifications through and through.
- Lots of storage flexibility.
- Easy to customize.
- Does not support any X570 exclusive features.
Choosing the right motherboard for your Ryzen 9 3900X can be a difficult process. Mainly because the processor is relatively new in the market, and there are not a lot of options available in the first place.
Granted, most companies have come out with some higher end options, but there is still a lack of options available in the market, which makes it difficult for most people to choose the motherboard they have been looking to get.
With this list, we aim to make things easier for those who are looking to get their hands on a decent motherboard for their Ryzen 9 3900X.
if you are wondering why we have only included the higher end motherboards, the reason behind that is rather simple, the 3900X is the second most powerful consumer processor available in the market, and warrants top of the line motherboards as well.
So that they can complement each other.
