HyperX Predator RGB
Best RAM For Ryzen 7 3700X
Kingston as a brand has come a long way. One of the best thing about them is that they know how to keep up with industry trends. Which only means that if there is something new on the market, Kingston is going to look into it, and bring it into the fold.
However, right now, we are focusing on HyperX, Kingston’s performance based division that aims to deliver the best products with great performance.
The RAM we are looking at is the HyperX Predator RGB, one of the best looking RGB RAM kits available in the market.
The good thing about this RAM is that it has one of the best values in the market. The XMP performance is one of the best in this RAM, and you cannot run into any issues. If you want to manually overclock the RAM, the great news is that you can easily do that, too.
The RGB lighting can be controlled through the motherboard, but at the same time, it is IR controlled. Giving you better control over how you want the lighting to me. To top it all off, the RGB is also supported by all the major motherboard manufacturers.
Therefore, if you are in search of proper and cohesive lighting, this is the way to go.
On the flipside, I do have some concerns. For instance, you are going to need a compliant motherboard based software in order to properly control the lighting. Additionally, if you are looking to get the most value out of the RAM, you are going to need to be good at overclocking, as well as have good hardware that can support the overclocks.
There is no denying that Kingston has done a great job with the HyperX Predator RGB; the RAM is clearly coming with great value, performance, and looks. Sure, there are a few downsides that might seem like a major concern, but the good thing is that they do not come in the way of how this RAM looks or performs.
All in all, we consider it be most suitable for Ryzen 7 3700X.
- Excellent value for money.
- The XMP performance is top notch.
- Manual overclocking yields wonderful results.

CORSAIR VENGEANCE LED RAM
Best RAM For Ryzen 7 3800X
Corsair has always been one of the best and leading companies in the PC industry.
The great thing about them is that they are consistent with whatever they release, and despite running into some issues a few years ago, the company has managed to be at the top of the food chain for quite some time, and are showing no signs of slowing down, either.
If you are a Corsair user, you are going to love the RAM we are reviewing next; it is the legendary CORSAIR VENGEANCE LED RAM.
One of the finest RGB RAMs available in the market, and for all the right reasons. How good is it? Let’s dive in and find out.
To kick things off, the RAM comes with one of the best XMP performances that you will get, and that too, out of the box. However, if you are a hardcore enthusiast and a skilled overclocking expert, you can actually start manually tweaking the RAM as well, and I can assure you that you are going to have a great experience with that, as well.
The RAM looks and feels premium, too. Therefore, for anyone who wants to have a premium product, this is the way to go. Another great thing that we really love about this RAM is that it can be controlled by two different software solutions.
You can either control it through your motherboard’s lighting system like the Asus Aura Sync. Or if that is not what you are looking for, you can go for the Corsair’s iCUE software, as well. Both options work great without any bug or discrepancy.
One thing that we forgot to mention is the RGB lighting that looks stunning in all the conditions, and the spill is even, thanks to good quality diffusers installed. Last but not least, I really like how this RAM is priced. It is actually one of the more competitively priced RAM kits available in the market.
With all the good things aside, there is just one thing that I did not like about this RAM and that is that if you are looking to manually overclock this RAM, it might not go as high as you may want it to go.
In conclusion, the Corsair Vengeance LED RAM is definitely the best RAM kit available for Ryzen 7 3800X in the market.
Granted, it might not be the best in terms of overclocking, but for anyone who is looking for a RAM that looks good and performs just as good, this is the way to go.
- Competitively priced.
- Great XMP performance.
- Lighting can be controlled through the motherboard or iCUE.
- Looks gorgeous.
- Not as good with manual overclocking.
- LED ILLUMINATED modules add lighting effect to the system, enhance overall system appearance and complete the stylistic intent of the overall system design
- Even and fast heat dissipation for high overclocking capability, larger dissipation surface area increases thermal throughput.
- Built from a custom performance PCB and highly-screened Memory ICs for superior overclocking potential.
Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracer RGB
For those who do not know, Crucial is actually known for having some of the coolest looking RAM kits. This is actually nothing new as even in the older days of DDR3, their RAM kits looked really good and outlandish at best.
True, most people are shifting towards things that look minimalistic, not everyone is looking to go with an understated design. For the bold and proud, Crucial has a fix.
The RAM we are looking at today is the Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracer RGB; needless to say, Crucial is pretty serious about using military inspired names and looks. Is this kit any good? That is what we want to figure out.
The good thing is that if you are looking to run this RAM on X570 motherboards, you are going to get some great data rates. To top it all off, you do not even need XMP if you want to run the RAM at 2,666 MHz speed. More importantly, for those who are on a budget, you can actually go for 2,400 MHz RAM speed, as well.
The one thing we really love about this Ram is that the white lighting scheme that is default with this RAM and the overall color scheme is really good, and works well with most color schemes.
You can use the RAM with the motherboard’s RGB software solutions, or Ballistix’s own solution that they provide.
If there is something I do not like, it is the fact that in many cases, the lighting software that was provided by Crucial simply did not work. It either crashed or failed to make any changes to the lighting.
Overall, the Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracer RGB is definitely a good RAM that is only marred by limited software support. Rest assured, if you are looking to get this RAM for the sake of value and looks that it provides, you are not going to be disappointed at all.
- Great support for H370 and B360 motherboards.
- You do not need XMP to run on higher speeds.
- Comes with speed profile for the i3 8350K.
- Looks great with or without the lighting.
- Can work with major motherboard’s lighting software solutions.
- The lighting software that Ballistix provides can often crash or not work.
- AMD Ryzen Ready
- Easily hit advanced speeds and timings with XMP profiles, speeds up to 3200 MHz
- Customize your rig’s color scheme with 16 RGB LEDs in 8 zones on each module
G.SKILL TRIDENT Z RGB LED RAM
One of our favorite memories in the market come from G.Skill. The company has always prided itself for giving among the fastest memories for great prices.
Not just that, they have been always very aggressive with their designs, and while that did not bode well with everyone, there is no denying that G.Skill has done a great job at maintaining their standards as one of the best companies out there.
Today, we look at the G.SKILL TRIDENT Z RGB LED RAM. For those who do not know, G.Skill revamped the legendary Trident Z RAM kit and made it look even better than it used to look.
This was perhaps among the first few RAM kits that had proper RGB lighting.
First things first, the great thing about this RAM is that it is one of the fastest RAM kits available, offering 3,600 MHz data rate right out of the box. While it may not benefit the Intel platform as much, if you are running this RAM on the AMD platform, you are going to get some amazing results.
Additionally, the CAS latency of this RAM also happens to be one of the best, with the RAM offering great timings. One of the best things about the G.SKILL TRIDENT Z RGB LED RAM is the fact that it has programmable LEDs that look so much better than anything we have tested.
You can actually use G.Skill’s own program, but if you do not want to go that route, you can actually use any motherboard software, as well. Whatever you go with, the overall experience is going to be great and cohesive, too. I can assure you that the lighting on this RAM looks among the best.
As far as the downsides are concerned, we honestly cannot find any issues with this RAM that might be a problem.
In conclusion, the G.SKILL TRIDENT Z RGB LED RAM is perhaps the most definitive experience we have had in some time. The RAM gives you pretty much everything that you could want from it, and the best part is that the performance is great, throughout.

Patriot Viper Gaming RGB
The last RAM on our list is from a company named Patriot; when it comes to delivering some stellar memory products, Patriot happens to be a lot more famous than you might think.
They have been delivering amazing products back to back and the best part is that they are pretty affordable, as well.
The RAM kit we are looking at today is the famous Patriot Viper Gaming RGB; for those who do not know, the Viper series of RAM from Patriot is among the highest tier RAM the company manufactures. Let’s see if this RAM is good enough to allow Patriot to hold the legendary status it is known for.
To start with, you get XMP speeds of up to 3,600 MHz, something that happens to be great. However, if you are looking for the best, just like we are, you can easily start overclocking the RAM to attain higher speeds, as well; as long as you have the skill and the hardware to do it.
Another great thing that we really love about this RAM is the fact that you can tune the latency according to your needs and you will not run into any issues that might come in the way.
Patriot allows you to control the lighting using the motherboard software, or they provide their own software, which actually works really well. Something that we definitely approve of.
On the flipside, there is nothing to hate about the RAM. As a matter of fact, it is one of the best RGB RAM available in the market. However, there is one thing that I believe is not something we like but that is strictly from the aesthetic point of view.
The diffusers used on the RAM are not as good when it comes to diffusing the LED as you may encounter bleeding or merging.
Overall, the Patriot Viper Gaming RGB is definitely one of the best, if not the best RGB RAM available in the market, that works best in most of the situations that you put it through. The RAM is fast, works really smoothly, and looks great while doing so. Which is definitely a bonus that you cannot overlook.
- Excellent overclocking capabilities.
- Great XMP profile.
- CAS latency tuning is a great feature to have.
- Looks aggressive.
- The RGB lighting can be controlled through Patriot’s software or your motherboard.
